One simple person’s simple way to Manifest. 09/09/2010
I took a small job to bring in some extra cash. It was easy and allowed me to get out and interact with other folks. It paid by commission and I was pretty good at it. Mostly it was joyful but sometimes Life got in the way. The job was at a hospital only a short 15-20 minute walk from my home. How perfect was that. I live in a leafy neighbourhood and could be in nature before and after work, stopping to breathe in life-giving oxygen from the trees, admire and smell the colorful flowers, take in the twinkling and the ambient lights and totally different perspective of the streets on the way home. On some days, as is normal I would rather not have been there. I took to talking to my Team to get me connected. I would ask the Team to be with me and request that the shift (afternoon, early evening) be ‘fast, easy, profitable and joyful’. Sometimes I added specifics such as a target sales amount or ‘several large sales’. It almost invariably worked. Sometimes I would get about half-way through and realize it was none of the things I had asked for. I would ask again, simply voicing the same words, 'fast, easy, profitable and joyful' as if I knew the team was there and I was connected. It still continues to amaze me how often on the second or even third request, almost immediately the next sale would be a big one ~ even when I only had one or two more stops to make and it seemed impossible. I took to using this ‘meditation’ every time I went to work, not just when I felt disconnected, and I often apply it to my day when I arise.
Try it, or something like it using your own desires, on something as small as finding the perfect parking spot or having all the lights turn green on your way to or from work. If it can work on something small, it can work on something big. As long as there is heartfelt belief behind it!

A bit about Manifesting
Manifesting your desires is probably the hardest concept to apply to Life. Most of us know the basics: Your thoughts become the things that are brought to you, so you better direct your thoughts positively towards your clear intent. Most anyone who has been practicing that knows it is not that simple.
Science tells us that only about 10-15% of our thoughts are conscious. That means that 85% or more of our lives are ‘run’ by our subconscious, or in some circles, the ‘unconscious’. We won’t go into semantics here. Let’s leave that for the ‘experts’, of which I freely admit I am not one. My own belief is that the subconscious is simply habits we have formed ~ either in this lifetime, other lifetimes or from any other plane of existence. That’s a lot of habits. Think of all the things you do from the moment you get out of bed, from brushing your teeth to eating your breakfast, to brushing your teeth again before sleep. Chances are you do not do most of them consciously. They have become a habit. How about driving your car. Do you consciously think about turning the wheel, applying the brake, watching for pedestrians and red lights? Not likely. All part of the 85% unconscious ‘habits’. These habits are valuable, though, because they are what decide your response when a little child dashes out in front of you or a big truck goes through a red light. Thank God-Source for that! So how do we break old habits or ingrain new ones into our subconscious.
Science also tells us what the gurus have told us for years ~ in point of fact for millennium. It is our Belief which manifests. Jesus said, “Ask and Ye shall receive”. He was teaching the Law of Attraction! For 2000+ years we have been trying to believe & achieve this, but our experiences have often shown us otherwise. Jesus was also big on ‘Belief’. The bible tells us he knew what science now has adopted as truth: Our belief comes from the heart. So if we wish to manifest, we must be certain that something is coming from the heart, from feeling. And for it to come from the heart it must come from the unconscious, from our beliefs and thus from our habits.
All the major spiritual traditions advocate using meditation. Meditation is simply connecting to God-Source, Spirit, your inner self, or whatever else you like to call it. There is no one way to meditate. Traditional prayer, Buddha breath, walking in nature, all are forms of meditation. The important thing is connecting to All That Is. It is in that state that one can best transcend their unconscious and bring in the new habits which form their beliefs. And it is from their heartfelt beliefs that one will manifest their feeling desires.
But this blog page is not about meditating. It is about how one applies, in a practical way, the Law of Attraction.
In my next post I am going to tell you about one way I have found to successfully manifest. I hope you will share yours, in words, in audio, in video.
About this blog
We have made this a separate blog page for the express purpose of having a forum where we gather anecdotal notes from individuals who have applied the laws of attraction to manifest their desires.
